Barrett E. Schwartz, MD
Neurosurgeon, Spine Specialist
Barrett Schwartz, MD, a native of Carmel, Indiana, obtained his medical degree from Indiana University and completed his residency in neurosurgery and fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Schwartz is a board eligible Neurosurgeon and member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Schwartz treats all forms of spinal pathology including degenerative, deformity, tumors, and traumatic conditions. His interests include minimally invasive techniques and using frontier technology both in the operating room and in support of research focused on surgical outcomes. His primary focus is improving his patients’ symptoms and getting them back to doing the things they love to do. Outside of work, Dr. Schwartz enjoys spending time with his wife and children, attending Indiana sporting events, exploring live music, and gardening.
