Dr. Miracle C. Anokwute, Goodman Scholar, obtained his medical degree and completed his neurosurgery residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. He went on to a neurosurgery fellowship at Macquarie Neurosurgery and Spine in Sydney, Australia, and a Committee on Advanced Sub-specialty Training fellowship in Complex Spinal Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine that encompassed minimally invasive spine, robotic spine, spinal trauma, deformity, spine oncology and degenerative spine surgery.

Dr. Anokwute has an expertise in image-guided spinal navigation, robotic spine surgery, and minimally invasive spine surgery. He utilizes the latest techniques and technology in spinal surgery to provide individualized patient care that is directly tailored to the patient with an emphasis on treating the whole patient. His clinical interests include back and neck pain, spinal tumor surgery, spinal trauma, peripheral nerve, and degenerative spinal conditions as well as artificial disc replacements. His research interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal trauma, spinal surgical approaches, and degenerative spinal disease.

Dr. Anokwute is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He was also a Guidelines Fellow at the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, reading science fiction books, and playing and watching soccer.
