Josue Diaz Ordaz, MD, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Purdue University. He went to medical school at Indiana University where he was elected as an Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honors society member, named a Julius Goodman Scholar and National Hispanic Medical Association scholarship recipient. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Indiana University where he also completed an enfolded CAST approved fellowship in neuro-oncology and 6 months of focused neurocritical care training. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).

His clinical interests include, but are not limited to, degenerative and traumatic spinal pathologies, traumatic brain injury, brain and spine tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, and peripheral nerve disorders. He is trained in traditional open and minimally invasive approaches tailored to the patient’s anatomy and pathology.

He has authored publications spanning multiple neurosurgical specialties. His research portfolio includes neuro-oncology, pediatric neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, neurotrauma, and surgical innovation. He has presented his findings at major national and international conferences including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Association for Cancer Research, American Epilepsy Society, and International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children. Together, they enjoy going out to eat, going to the park, watching movies and playing video games. They look forward to exploring Terre Haute and integrating themselves to the community.
