Jodi L. Smith, PhD, MD

Dr. Jodi L. Smith is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Smith received her Ph.D. in anatomy at the University of Utah School of Medicine for her doctoral dissertation studies on neurulation. Dr. Smith subsequently completed medical school and residency training in neurological surgery at the University of Utah.
Following residency, Dr. Smith completed a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts and then joined Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine in 2000.  Her current research interests include neurulation, which pertains to the formation of the nervous system in early human development.
