Mark R. Hoeprich, MD

Functional Neurosurgeon

Mark Hoeprich, MD, FAANS, earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center. During residency, Dr. Hoeprich also completed a Master’s degree in Public Policy at the University of Michigan, reflecting a strong interest in health policy, systems-based practice, and physician leadership.

Following residency, Dr. Hoeprich pursued advanced fellowship training in functional neurosurgery at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital at McGill University, where he specialized in the surgical treatment of epilepsy.

Dr. Hoeprich’s expertise lies in the broad yet highly specialized field of functional neurosurgery. His clinical practice focuses on advanced stereotactic and minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of neuropathic pain, movement disorders, and epilepsy. He employs a comprehensive range of neuromodulation strategies, utilizing advanced implantable technologies to interface with and augment the nervous system. In addition, Dr. Hoeprich brings specialized expertise in laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT) and MRI-guided high-frequency focused ultrasound.

Dr. Hoeprich is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS). His clinical and academic interests center on innovative, minimally invasive approaches to functional neurosurgical disorders, with an emphasis on precision therapies that improve patient outcomes.

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Hoeprich enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and is an avid fly fisherman.
