Dr. Mummareddy’s path to medicine began long before medical school.
When he was young, his father suffered a stroke. Watching the physicians who cared for him left a lasting impression that ultimately shaped his future.
“Seeing how my father’s physicians helped him recover both physically and emotionally inspired me to pursue a career in medicine.”
His father’s experience also fueled a fascination with the complexity of the nervous system.
“All of the major organs can be transplanted except the brain and spine, which speaks to their complexity and importance.”
Combining his passion for science and working with his hands, neurosurgery became the perfect fit. His additional specialty training in neuro-endovascular techniques allows him to offer expertise in both traditional neurosurgical approaches and minimally invasive treatments for complex conditions affecting the brain and blood vessels.
