Dr. Shah joined Goodman Campbell on June 1. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Missouri- Kansas City and a neurosurgical residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Following residency he completed a fellowship with Goodman Campbell focusing on skull base surgery, neurosurgical oncology and vascular neurosurgery before returning to work at the University of Kansas.
Dr. Shah specializes in complex cranial conditions including brain tumors and aneurysms, as well as spine disorders and spinal tumors. His clinical interests include treatment of brain tumors, pituitary tumors, vascular disorders (aneurysms, AVMs, carotid disease), trigeminal neuralgia, spinal disorders, and spinal tumors. His research interests include quality improvement and patient safety, neurosurgical education, stroke, brain tumors and more. He hopes to better neurosurgery through new technology, education, quality improvement and patient safety.
He will focus on building a tumor program on the south side of Indianapolis using his interests in cranial and spinal neurosurgical oncology. Dr. Shah is excited to bring his experience in these fields to help care for patients with neurological conditions. “I chose to join the team because of the many great people and the team-oriented culture,” said Dr. Shah. In his spare time, Dr. Shah enjoys his family, playing and watching sports, traveling, music and photography.
