With the health and well-being of patients in mind, we’re pleased to announce that the Lucas Family Brain and Spine Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent is now open in Indianapolis. Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine and Ascension St. Vincent are partners on the new hospital.

Goodman Campbell is providing 14 neurosurgeons, three interventional neuroradiologists, three interventional pain management specialists, and an acute neurosurgical services team to the new Ascension St. Vincent hospital. This facility will not only allow Goodman Campbell to enhance its advanced brain and spine care capabilities but will also serve as a center for research activities.
The Lucas Family Brain and Spine Hospital is located on the north side of the Ascension St. Vincent campus on West 86th Street in Indianapolis. With eight advanced operating rooms, two neuro-intervention suites, 38 ICU-level beds, and a full suite of neuroimaging technology, the facility helps ensure that more patients in the region have access to the highest level of care. Families in or near Indiana don’t have to travel far for cutting-edge neurological treatment. They can find world-class care closer to home.
Ascension St. Vincent holds the highest designations available by the Joint Commission for Stroke and Brain Tumor Care. In collaboration with Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine, the neurological surgery residency program — proudly accredited by the Accreditation Council — offers an exceptional training experience. Residents will gain hands-on exposure to high-volume cases at our Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, benefit from a thriving research division, and learn under the mentorship of nationally recognized faculty.
