Goodman Campbell’s ProHealth Care location in Wisconsin has added another physician, Dr. Vikas Parmar. Dr. Parmar completed a 7 year accelerated, combined physician-scientist degree program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College, graduating with a distinction in research. Following this, he completed a neurosurgical residency and spine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin.
Dr. Parmar will specialize in spinal surgery. His clinical interests include degenerative spine pathologies, minimally invasive spinal surgery, and complex revision spinal surgeries, spine tumors, spinal vascular malformations, cranial tumors and microvascular decompression for trigeminal neuralgia. He is well published and continues to enjoy researching neurological/neurosurgical conditions and treatments. We are excited for Dr. Parmar to join the Goodman Campbell team, providing his expertise in quality patient care and outcomes in the Wisconsin community.
When asked about the specialty, Dr. Parmar stated, “Neurosurgery, like the other areas of medicine, is a form of art that starts with understanding patients and their neurosurgical issues and guiding them along the best path toward healing. This often requires a multi-disciplinary approach that is unique for every patient.”
Dr. Parmar is a New York native who enjoys travel, working out, sports, reading, and spending time with his family.
