Academics and Research
I graduated with a BSN from IU School of Nursing and have been an ER nurse for 28 years. I later graduated from paramedic school in 1998 and worked as a flight nurse/paramedic for 16 years. I worked and gained experience in many areas during my career including orthopedic research, OR consulting, ICU, pediatrics ED, cath lab/IR lab, medical sales, interventional cardiology, education program coordinator for family and internal medicine residency programs, patient coordination as well as being an ACLS, PALS, TNCC, PHTLS and Stop the Bleed® instructor.
I enjoy my work, the diversity and challenges, but it is a small part of my world. I enjoy any type of physical challenge. I love obstacle course racing, trail running, cycling, hiking, rock and ice climbing. I love to explore and find roads less traveled. I love food, creating it and eating it. I love most sports, wine, laughter, music and dancing. God and my family are important to my life.
