Adult Neurosurgery

Albert E. Lee, MD

Dr. Albert Lee received his MD from St. George’s University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at University of Texas Southwestern, followed by a fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Lee is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and specializes in trigeminal neuralgia and deep brain stimulation, and has published papers on both subjects. His specialties also include both general and complex spine surgeries.

Dr. Lee belongs to the 1% of U.S. neurosurgeons trained to perform “asleep” deep brain stimulation. The asleep DBS procedure allows the patient to safely undergo the procedure under general anesthesia leading to a more comfortable and better clinical outcome experience.

Although it is always preferable to focus on non-operative therapies when possible before approaching surgery, there are times when a patient needs difficult and advanced surgical care. In such cases, Dr. Lee is uniquely equipped to treat patients in many areas of neurosurgery.
